Mobile App (iOS)

Optionomics on iPhone

What the mobile app is for

The Optionomics iOS app is the away-from-the-desk companion to the web platform. It is not a smaller copy of the entire web app—it is the parts that make sense on a phone:

  • Reading — trade ideas, market commentary, smart money rows, signals, alerts, notifications.
  • Reacting — receiving push notifications when your alerts fire and tapping through to context.
  • Asking — talking to the AI chatbot when you want a question answered while you’re moving.
  • Managing — your watchlist, your alerts, your account, your subscription.

Heavy chart work and multi-panel sessions still belong on the web platform and especially the Terminal.

Availability: A free iOS download. Most features require an active paid subscription on your account. Some AI features (Trade Ideas, Market Commentary, AI Chat) require Theta or Vega.

You can sign in three ways:

  • Email and password — the same account you use on the web.
  • Sign in with Google.
  • Sign in with Apple (one-tap on iOS).

Subscription status syncs automatically from your account—if you bought on the web, the app recognizes it; if you subscribe inside the app, it uses Apple In-App Purchase and syncs back to your web account.

What you can do in the app

Tab What it does
Trade Ideas The same AI-generated trade ideas feed as the web, with pull-to-refresh and live updates while you’re on the screen
Market Commentary The live AI commentary feed, with categories and severity
Smart Money The conviction leaderboard for the day
Signals The AI Signals stream of pattern callouts
Alerts Create, edit, activate, deactivate, and delete your alerts on the go
Notifications Your in-app notifications inbox for what alerts have already fired
AI Chat The AI assistant for asking questions in natural language; messages render as Markdown
Watchlist Your watchlist for quick navigation
Account Profile, subscription, feedback, and risk disclaimer

Push notifications

Enable push when prompted (or in iOS Settings → Notifications → Optionomics) to receive your alerts on the phone in addition to any other channels you’ve enabled (email, SMS, Slack, Discord, webhook). Tapping a push opens the relevant detail view in the app.

If pushes aren’t arriving:

  • Check that the alert has Mobile Push enabled in its channel list on the web or in the app.
  • Check that Notifications are allowed for Optionomics in iOS Settings.
  • Sign out and back in to re-register your device.

Subscriptions inside the app

Subscriptions in the app use Apple In-App Purchase. Standard Apple rules apply:

  • Manage or cancel from iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
  • Refunds are handled by Apple, not by Optionomics.
  • If you change devices or reinstall, use Restore purchases on the subscription screen.

App Store pricing

Plans purchased through the Apple App Store are priced about 30% higher than the same plans on the web. This covers Apple’s standard In-App Purchase commission, which we have to include in the in-app price.

If you want the lowest price, subscribe on the web at optionomics.ai/subscription and then sign in on the iOS app—the same account unlocks both surfaces, and you don’t need a separate App Store subscription to use the app.

If you originally subscribed on the web, keep managing that subscription from the web subscription page—the app will reflect your status either way.

Feedback

You can send feedback directly from the app (Account → Feedback). It comes straight to the team and is the fastest way to report bugs or suggest improvements.

Important context

  • Options trading involves substantial risk—the app shows you data and AI summaries, not personalized investment advice.
  • Live data on mobile may briefly lag the desktop experience over flaky networks; pull-to-refresh forces an update.
  • Some advanced views (the multi-panel Terminal, full historical analytics, backtesting) live only on the web platform.

Remember: Use the app to stay in the loop when you’re away from the desk; use the web app for deep research and active trading sessions.
